Spike von Schrum is a very handsome 2 year old German Shepherd. Spike came to us with a female, Ayami, and we want to place them as a pair because they are bonded and do beautifully together. Don’t let the downward glances from this fuzzy fellow fool you -- Spike is as sweet a German Shepherd as they come. He already has received very high marks for his demeanor, which is calm and gentle. Possibly housebroken, he walks well on leash and doesn’t get too far away from you, preferring nice strolls in the neighborhood to jogs throughout town. Spike’s easy-going personality fits well in many homes. He enjoys being wherever you are, and has been a friendly greeter with everyone when hanging out in our office. Spike is also tolerant around other dogs and greets them with a friendly tail wag. However, he’s more people-oriented than dog-oriented so, while on leash, he doesn’t pay them much mind and in play groups he does his own thing. Spike is looking for a home that appreciates his sweet nature and relaxed approach to life.
